Removal

Remove the following items:
- Gasket, inner timing cover Refer to: Gasket, inner timing cover, B6304T4 , B6324S5, B6324S4 Gasket, Inner Timing Cover
- alternator Refer to: Generator, B6304T4 , B6324S5, B6324S4 Service and Repair

Caution! The components are paired. If one component is damaged, both components shall be replaced at the same time.

Caution! Take extra care when handling the components.

Installation

Use: Chemical gasket, 1161771

Caution! Take extra care when handling the components.

Note! Only tighten the bolt finger tight at this stage.

Use: Thread sealant, 1161056

Note! Only tighten the bolt finger tight at this stage.

Torque: Gear housing Stage 1: 10 Nm Stage 2: 24 Nm

Install the following items:
- alternator Refer to: Generator, B6304T4 , B6324S5, B6324S4 Service and Repair
- Gasket, inner timing cover Refer to: Gasket, inner timing cover, B6304T4 , B6324S5, B6324S4 Gasket, Inner Timing Cover
