DESCRIPTION:
A knocking noise can be heard from the front brakes when braking and turning at slow speed.
The noise mainly occurs on vehicles equipped with 17" ( 432 mm) front brake system (2FN system type).
A sample sound file is attached.
PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
Pre-greased calipers using a new type of grease were introduced in production during Q4 2011.
The new grease (Plastilube) is now available for service use.
SERVICE:
Clean and apply new grease to sliding surfaces on caliper and pads as shown in the attached documents.
PARTS:
Use Plastilube grease PN 31400015, 5.5 ml (50% per side)
