Sill moulding

Front door

- Wash the door sill

- Place a strip of tape on the front edge of the sill panel, square to the edge of the door sill.

- Measure out a distance of 40 mm (19/16") from the front edge of the strip of tape and forward to mark the forward position of the sill moulding. Mark the position with a strip of tape, as illustrated.

- Remove the rear strip of tape.

- Position the sill moulding by the strip of tape on the front edge. Position it so that the cut-outs at both ends align with the corresponding door sill. Exercise care when positioning so the that moulding is not misaligned.
- Attach a strip of tape to mark the sideways position.

- Clean the marked surface on the sill using isopropanol and wipe dry.

- Peal back the ends on the front edge of the two long fastening tapes.
- Remove the protective tape on the two short fastening tapes.

- Position the sill moulding by the strips of tape on the front edge and the two strips of tape at the sides. Press down the ends firmly. Exercise care when positioning so the that moulding is not misaligned.

- Carefully pull away the protective tape and successively push down into position, first the outer and then the inner tape. Make sure the rubber moulding is not in the way.

Note! Do not push down the strip too close to the protective tape on the inner tape. The strip lies close to the sill and can catch here whereby the tape can break.

- Press the sill moulding down firmly with a pressure of approximately 2 kg/cm2 along its entire length.
- Remove the tape markings.
- Repeat the operation on the other side.

Rear door
