If the tailgate cannot be operated automatically, it may be due to one of the included components not being connected correctly.
Check that all components are connected correctly.

Checking the wiring
Check the cables between control module and other included components. Check for open circuit, loose connections, contact resistance, and oxidation.
Remedy as necessary.
