Navigation system, portable































INTRODUCTION
- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimize the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.






Navigation system portable

Steps 36-49 are mirrored for right-hand drive cars





















- Remove the screws and the panel.





- Disconnect the lighting connector and place the panel to one side.





- Remove the two screws.





- Carefully pry off the glovebox lighting.





- Loosen the connector from the lamp in the glovebox lighting, it may be tight.





- Remove the six screws.
- If necessary, disconnect the connector from the SIM card holder.
- Pull the glove compartment out slightly so that the clips release.
- Remove the glovebox.





- Take the panel with cradle and aerial from the kit.
- Insert the aerial over the air vent to the right and down towards the rear edge of the dashboard.

Note! Leave enough cable excess so that the panel with cradle is not in the way when making connections in the centre console.





- Continue to route the aerial with cable, from the right air duct in the centre console, and then along the rear edge of the dashboard to the right.
- Secure using pieces of butyl tape.





- Continue to route the aerial with cable towards the air duct at the right end of the dashboard.
- Route it on the outside of the air duct and out through the hole in the end and position on the dashboard.
- Secure the cable to the outside of the air duct using butyl tape.





- Clean the surface in front of the air vent on the right-hand side of the dashboard and wipe dry.





- Remove the protective tape from the mounting tape.

Steps 51-53 are mirrored for right-hand drive cars




- Secure the aerial approximately in position as shown.





- Route the cable under the cradle (1) for the A-pillar and back.
- Route the cable excess back to the rear edge of the dashboard where the cable was previously routed.

- Secure the cable excess at the existing pieces of butyl tape according to image A and B.
- Also secure on the right-hand side of the air duct.









- Secure the green connectors at the existing cable harness using cable ties.





- Connect the connectors to the cradle and button for the hazard warning lights.





- Push the panel into place. Ensure that the cables are not in front of the air vents.

Steps 57-66 are mirrored for right-hand drive cars

















- Take the glovebox and connect the connector to the SIM card holder, if necessary.
- Insert the connector to the glovebox lighting.

- Take the Garmin device, connect the aerial and align the guide holes in the bottom, with the corresponding lugs in the cradle.
- Fold it to the limit position and check that it springs up and locks in the catches on the reverse. When removing, press the receiver down until the catches release and then fold it backwards and disconnect the connector from the aerial.
