Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-U300362

Condition

Note! This trouble code is only relevant for troubleshooting and action in the following cases:

- The trouble code is active in the present driving cycle and has been active for a longer period of time.
- The customer experiences malfunction that can be attributed to the trouble code.
The control modules communicate with each other for exchange of information in a network via a standardized serial communication procedure - CAN (Controller Area Network). The Central electronic module (CEM) regularly transmits messages on the CAN network. The Brake control module (BCM) compares the voltage with the Central electronic module (CEM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Voltage is 2 V lower than the voltage signal from the Central electronic module (CEM) for 10 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Contact resistance and oxidation in the terminals.
- Internal fault in the brake control module (BCM).

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.

Fault symptom[s]
- None
