Fault-tracing
- Ignition off for 10 seconds and then on again.
Check and rectify the diagnostic trouble codes in the following control modules and order.
1. Forward Sensing Module (FSM).
2. Engine control module (ECM).
3. Brake control module (BCM).
4. Central electronic module (CEM).
5. Driver information module (DIM):
Once the fault has been rectified the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) must be deleted from the above control modules.
Note! Deletion of the diagnostic trouble codes in the above control modules must take place in the same driving cycle.

Verification
- Ignition off for 10 seconds and then on again.
Test drive the car as follows:
- Drive the vehicle at a speed in excess of 50 km/h and activate the adaptive cruise control.
- Increase and decrease the speed using the steering wheel buttons.
- If the adaptive cruise control works, the functions have restarted and the malfunction rectified.

The fault should have been detected and remedied. As this is not the case fault-tracing has failed.
Exit fault-tracing for this diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or make another attempt.
