Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-U210000

Condition
The brake control module (BCM) is programmed at the factory with software for several car models. During the first ignition cycle, the control module reads the vehicle configuration data from the central electronic module (CEM). The brake control module (BCM) then configures itself according to the car model and equipment.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Configuration information from central electronic module (CEM) is missing.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition on.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Stability control (SC) blocked.
- Traction control (TC) blocked.
- Active yaw control (AYC) is blocked.

Hint: Brake system, abbreviations Brake System, Abbreviations

Possible source
- Fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM).

Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not due to an internal hardware fault in the Brake control module (BCM) and must not be remedied by replacing the control module.
