Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The drive mode is selected by using one of the three switches for the Four-C function. The three switches are connected to the Suspension module (SUM) via the same cable. When the button is depressed, various load resistance is connected to the circuit depending on which drive mode has been selected. The control module can then read off the voltage that is unique to that selected drive mode.
Voltage on the cable from the switches is monitored by the Suspension module (SUM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Voltage from the switches is too high.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- Deactivated Four-C function.

Possible source
- The cable from the switches is short-circuited to supply voltage.
- The switch for the Four-C function is damaged.

Fault symptom[s]
- Four-C; No functionality; Changing modes
