Diagnostic Trouble Code Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information PSCM-U042868
Condition
The control module is continually supplied with necessary information from the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) via CAN communication. The control module checks the quality of the information from the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects:
- The signal that informs that the information from the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) is incorrect.
- Incorrect value lasts longer than 2 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- Battery voltage between 9 - 18 V.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- Fault-trace the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS).
