Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-U042600

Condition
Engine control module (ECM) as well as central electronic module (CEM) contain a unique code for every vehicle for electronic immobilizer. In addition to this, each key for the vehicle is electronically coded to only fit in the intended vehicle. At start, internal checks are performed that the key is correct for the vehicle and that the immobilizer codes in the engine control module (ECM) and central electronic module (CEM) match.
If engine control module (ECM) registers problems with readout of the immobilizer codes or that the immobilizer codes do not match, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.
