Condition
The Supplemental restraint system module (SRS) is continuously supplied with necessary information from the Closing velocity module (CVM) via internal CAN communication. The supplemental restraint system (SRS) checks the communication with the Closing velocity module (CVM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- No communication with the Closing velocity module (CVM).
- Incorrect value runs longer than 40 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition position II and III.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
