Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information DEM-P188918

Condition
The Differential electronic module (DEM) checks the performance of the oil pressure pump. The control module compares the signal from the oil pump to the predefined parameters. The current that goes through the oil pressure pump is dependent on the temperature of the oil.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The amperage through the oil pressure pump is too low.
- Incorrect value has been registered at 30 on each following operating cycle.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts when:
- The oil temperature is above 0 °C.
- The voltage across the oil pressure pump is greater than 11.5 V.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Damaged connector between oil pressure pump and Differential electronic module (DEM).
- Oil level too low.
- Short-circuit to ground in the power supply cable.
- Damaged oil pressure pump.

Fault symptom[s]
- None.
