Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information POT-P124011

Condition
Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) continuously checks the voltage feed to hall sensors in motor tailgate opening.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The power supply is too low.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Control module supplied with power.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Substitute value
- None.

Possible source
- Short-circuit to ground in the power supply.
- Damaged hall sensor.

Hint: Troubleshoot by unplugging the connector that feeds voltage to motor tailgate opening, and erase fault codes. If the fault code returns, this indicates damaged cable harness rather than damaged hall sensor.
