Condition
The Differential electronic module (DEM) checks the internal components in the control module. The control module checks the function of the AC/DC converter, among other things. The control module compares the signal from the AC/DC converter to the predefined parameters.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the AC/DC converter is outside the parameters.
- Incorrect value lasts longer than 3 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

- Four wheel drive is disengaged.
