Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Engine control module (ECM) checks the signals from the electronic throttle unit's two position sensors.
If engine control module (ECM) detects unreasonably low signal from any of the sensors, the diagnostic trouble code is generated.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed when the ignition is on.
Substitute value
- In case a defective signal is detected, the other signal is used.
- Cruise control turned off when malfunction is active.
Possible source
- Contact resistance or oxidation in the terminals
- Signal cables short-circuited to ground.
- Open circuit on signal cables.
- Voltage feed short-circuited to ground.
- Open circuit on voltage feed.
- Damaged electronic throttle unit.
