Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition

The engine control module (ECM) checks the signal from the fuel temperature sensor.
A DTC is stored if the control module detects that the fuel temperature deviates too much from the coolant temperature, the air temperature (measured in the mass air flow (MAF) sensor) or the temperature measured in the boost pressure sensor (between the turbo compressor and throttle) after the engine has been switched off for a long time.
The diagnostic trouble code can be diagnosed once per operating cycle with the ignition on, but only once the engine temperature has fallen to approx. 50 °C from operating temperature since the previous operating cycle.

Substitute value
- The signal from the engine coolant temperature sensor is used (up to 100°C).

Possible source
- Contact resistance in the connectors.
- Damaged fuel temperature sensor.

Fault symptom[s]
- None.
