Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-P014000

Condition
The Engine control module (ECM) uses the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S), among other things, to determine if fuel trim is working as it should. The control module uses the heated oxygen sensor's (HO2S) volt signal to determine whether there is a fault in the system.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) is activated unusually late during regulation.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Start of engine.
- Cold engine.
- The probe should have been sufficiently heated up by exhaust gases and internal heating circuit.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
