Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information SAS-C1B0087
Condition
The Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) is located in the lever module together with the steering wheel module (SWM) and is supplied with power by it. Only the steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) communicates on the controller area network (CAN). Information is sent from the Central electronic module (CEM) via the CAN network if the Steering wheel angle sensor module (SAS) is to communicate or not.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The information from the central electronic module (CEM) is missing or incorrect for longer than 15 seconds.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- No steering angle value out on the CAN network.
Possible source
- The information from the Central Electronic Module (CEM) is missing or incorrect.
- Fault-trace the central electronic module (CEM).
