Fault-Tracing Information
Fault-tracing
Replacing a component
Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) has registered inconsequence in read-back signals from the internal relay that feeds voltage to motor tailgate opening. If the fault is intermittent, it has been registered previously but is no longer present. Intermittent faults may be due to interference upon start-up or may be another type of fault that can recur at different times. The fault is evaluated depending on how it occurs. If the problem returns, replace Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT).
Replace the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) in case of a permanent problem.
Checks after replacement
Check that the latest software is in the module by downloading an upgrade for Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT).
