Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information

Condition
The Suspension module (SUM) controls individual damping in each shock absorber using a valve that is affected by a solenoid.
The Suspension module (SUM) monitors the current via the solenoids in the shock absorbers. Reading the current through the solenoid occurs on the return cable in the control module.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The current through the solenoid is outside its permitted ranges, the analog/digital converter in the control module has reached its maximum value.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine on and vehicle speed over 2 km/h.
- The test is carried out every other operating cycle. The Suspension module (SUM) defines an operating cycle as ignition on and ignition off.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) specifies the relevant damper solenoid.
- SUM-C110C1D: Damper solenoid left front
- SUM-C110D1D: Damper solenoid right front
- SUM-C110E1D: Damper solenoid left rear
- SUM-C110F1D: Damper solenoid right rear

Substitute value
- Deactivated Four-C function.

Possible source
- The solenoid's return cable has a short-circuit to supply voltage.
- The solenoids conductors are short-circuited to each other.
- Damaged solenoid.

Fault symptom[s]
- Message in information display
- Four-C function not working
