Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information POT-C102267

Condition
Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) checks that sensor 2 (outer lock position) changes status within a certain time interval (12 seconds) after closing of tailgate has started.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Sensor 2 (outer lock position) remains active during opening of tailgate.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Closing of tailgate.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- None.

Possible source
- Damaged motor tailgate opening (motor runs, tailgate does not move).
- Open circuit on signal line from sensor 2 (outer lock position).
- Damaged lock unit tailgate.
