Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-C006A95
Condition
The Body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC) provides the Brake control module (BCM) with information about the lateral movement of the vehicle and the lateral and forward acceleration. There are different variants of the stability sensor (BSC) depending on the vehicle configuration. For vehicles with four-wheel drive, the stability sensors differ from vehicles with two-wheel drive. In addition, there is a variant for vehicles for start assistance on a grade, HSA (Hill Start Assist).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The installed stability sensor (BSC) does not match with the vehicle configuration.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- Traction control (TC) blocked.
- Stability control (SC) blocked.
- Active yaw control (AYC) is blocked.
Hint: Brake system, abbreviations Brake System, Abbreviations
Possible source
- Incorrect body sensor cluster stability sensor (BSC) installed.
Note! This diagnostic trouble code is not due to an internal hardware error in the Brake control module (BCM) and is not solved by replacing the control module.
