Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information

Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information BCM-C004762

Condition
The vacuum pressure sensor is located in the power brake booster. The pressure sensor is double acting and measures the vacuum pressure between the vacuum chamber and the working chamber in the power brake booster. The signal ratio between the various chambers must correspond with each other. The sensor is supplied with 5 V.
The Brake control module (BCM) compares the vacuum pressure sensor's signal to the signal from the brake pressure sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the pressure sensor is outside its permitted range.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
