Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information POT-B13C712

Condition
Upon start-up the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) checks if the signal cable from the right-hand hall sensor to the right-hand motor for tailgate opening/closing has a short-circuit to voltage.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Hall sensor short-circuited to battery voltage.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Start-up of the control module.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

Possible source
- Signal cable from the hall sensor has a short-circuit to voltage.
- Damaged hall sensor.
