Condition
Central electronic module (CEM) is continuously supplied with necessary information from the Closing velocity module (CVM). The Central electronic module (CEM) checks the quality of the information sent from the Closing velocity module (CVM).
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The Closing velocity module (CVM) sends incorrect signals for correct amount of time.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II. Engine running.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- City Safety switches off.
Possible source
- Short-circuit or open-circuit on the control area network (CAN).
- Fault in the Closing velocity module (CVM).
