Condition
A timer starts when the unlocking pull switch is activated.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- Pull switch unlocking has been activated for longer than 5 minutes.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Closing of pull switch locking.

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- None.

Possible source
- Switch for opening the tailgate has been activated for more than 5 minutes.
- Damaged switch.
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
