Information

- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimize the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

Conditions

Where the procedure differs, the right-hand version is also shown with text and image.

All vehicles

Activate and calibrate the Alcohol Analyzing Start Inhibitor according to TJ (Technical Journal) 19265.

Set the ignition key to position 0.

Removal

Remove the panel.

Remove the screws.

Detach the panel.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the screws.
Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Remove the part carefully

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the screws.

Unhook the clip(s).

Caution! Take extra care not to damage the wiring harnesses.

Remove the swarf.

Note! Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.

Install the screws.

Pull the wiring through.

Fold the carpet to the side.

Place any excess inside the floor carpet.

Right-hand drive vehicles

Fold the carpet to the side.

Place any excess inside the floor carpet.

All vehicles

Connect the connector.

Install the part with butyl tape.

Pull the wiring through.

Connect the connectors.

Place any excess inside the floor carpet.

Connect the connector.

The lamp with the battery symbol should flash if the power supply is correct, if not, the black connector must be turned to switch poles.
Reinstall the removed parts in reverse order.
