Information
- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimize the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.
Conditions
Set the ignition key to position 0.
Remove the battery's negative cable.
Removal
Torque: Front seat to body, 40 Nm
Torque: Front seat to body, 40 Nm
Disconnect the connector.
Applies to the passenger side
Remove the screw.
Detach the panel.
Release the lock.
Applies to the driver's side
Release the lock.
All vehicles
Caution! Be extra careful when removing or installing this component.
Use: Electrician's screwdriver.
Installation
Caution! Make sure that no part of the wiring harness is trapped.
Route the cable harness to the existing cable harness.
Attach the wiring, using clips.
Route the cable harness to the existing cable harness.
Attach the wiring, using clips.
Note! Extra cable length must be secured using cable ties.
Connect the connectors.
Connect the cable harness.
Install component that comes with the accessory kit.
Repeat all method steps for the other side.
Removal
Remove the panel.
Detach the following items:
1. Fold the carpet to the side.
2. Unhook the cable harness clips.
3. Disconnect the connector.
Remove the panel.
Vehicles with the 4C system.
All vehicles
Remove the panel.
Remove the screws.
Cars with manual transmissions
Release the lock ring which is located inside the gear lever boot.
Cars with automatic transmissions
Release the shift-lock function.
All vehicles
Remove the screws.
Caution! Be careful not to damage the catches.
Remove the panel.
Remove the screws.
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the panel.
Remove the screws.
Remove the panel.
Caution! The number of connectors can vary depending on the vehicle's equipment level.
Disconnect the connectors.
Remove the panel.
Remove the weatherstrip.
