Engine body, exposing

Removal

Loosen the lower screws (these are difficult to access) between the transmission/engine before removing the engine/transmission unit. Place the engine and transmission unit on a suitable surface.
Relieve the transmission. Loose the remaining screws and carefully remove the transmission.


Remove the following items:
- Carrier plate
- Crankshaft position sensor (CKP). Refer to: Crankshaft position sensor (CKP), B5254T5, TF-80SC Service and Repair
- exhaust manifold. Refer to: Exhaust manifold, B5254T5 Service and Repair
- ignition coils. Refer to: Ignition coil, B5254T5 Service and Repair
- intake manifold. Refer to: Induction pipe, B5254T5, TF-80SC Service and Repair
- oil cooler. Refer to: Oil cooler, engine, B5254T5 Service and Repair
- generator. Refer to: Generator, B5254T5 Service and Repair
- thermostat. Refer to: Thermostat, B5254T5 Service and Repair
- camshaft sensor. Refer to: Camshaft position sensor (CMP), B5254T5 Service and Repair
- knock sensor. Refer to: Knock sensor (KS), B5254T5 Service and Repair
- tensioner auxiliary unit belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt Tensioner, B5254T5, TF-80SC Service and Repair
- injector. Refer to: Fuel injector, B5254T5 Service and Repair
- VVT-solenoid. Refer to: VVT solenoid, B5254T5 Service and Repair


Install the following items:
- 999 2520 FLOOR STAND 999 2520 Floor Stand
- 999 5297 ENGINE FIXTURE 999 5297 Engine Fixture
- 998 9721 SCREW SET 998 9721 Screw Set
