Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-P252100

Condition
The engine control module (ECM) controls the stroke volume of the air conditioning (A/C) compressor via a control valve (solenoid). The control valve is controlled by a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal. The engine control module (ECM) checks the performance of the control valve. The control module compares the signal from the control module with the predefined parameters.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The signal from the check valve is outside the parameters.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Ignition switch position II.
- A/C function activated.

- None.

Possible source

- Short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable.
- The signal cable is short-circuited to ground.
- Open-circuit in the voltage supply cable.
- Damaged control valve (solenoid).
