Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information ECM-P117900

Condition
This diagnostic trouble code can only be stored during lambda regulation quick tests. This is a workshop test, for detecting air leaks or low fuel pressure. During the quick test, the Engine control module (ECM) receives information from the heated oxygen sensor about the fuel/air mixture with reset fuel adaptations. If the fuel/air mixture is varied considerably during a certain time, this means that there is a fault that can cause diagnostic trouble codes related to lambda regulation to be stored during normal operation.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The fuel/air mixture (lambda) varies a considerable amount.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Activate quick test

Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.

- Damaged heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
- Intake air leakage.
- Air leakage in the exhaust system.
- Damaged mass air flow (MAF) sensor.
