Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Information
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Note! This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) status is an event controlled diagnostic trouble code (DTC). An event controlled diagnostic trouble code (DTC) does not mean that there is a fault in the control module when it is active, but is designed as information. These diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) do not need to be erased but disappear when the conditions no longer apply.
Engine control module (ECM) monitors the engine's cooling system. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the control module detects that:
- The electric cooling fan is blocked.
- The electric cooling fan is overheated.
- Voltage feed to the electric cooling fan is too low.
- The temperature in the electric cooling fan module exceeds a specific value.
The control module's test for the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) starts in the event of:
- Engine running.
Note! The control module can only detect the fault once the test has been started and the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored when the conditions are met.
Substitute value
- None.
Possible source
- This diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is not caused by a fault that needs to be remedied.
Fault symptom[s]
- Engine cooling/Engine overheats/runs hot
- Temperature control/A/C does not work
- Gauges/Engine coolant temperature gauge not accurate/Value too high
