Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-P034400 is for the camshaft position (CMP) sensor, intake.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-P036600 is for the camshaft position (CMP) sensor, exhaust.
The engine control module (ECM) checks the pulse width modulation (PWM) signal from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the signal from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor is missing intermittently. This is interpreted by the engine control module (ECM) as a fault. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) can be diagnosed when the engine is running.
