Removal

Remove the brake disc. Refer to: Rear brake disc, B6304T4, B5254T5 Brake Disc Rear, Replacing.

Fit the bracket that is part of the measuring equipment. Use the brake caliper's retaining screws.





Fit the dial indicator in the bracket. Position the dial indicator's tip toward the hub flange.
Slowly rotate the hub. The maximum lateral runout of the hub should not exceed 0.014 mm.
If lateral runout exceeds 0.014 mm, replace the hub. Refer to: Rear wheel hub, TF-80SC Rear Wheel Hub and Bearing Rear wheel hub, TF-80SC AWD Rear Wheel Hub and Bearing.
To ensure that the max. value together with the brake disc is not exceeded, check the lateral runout of the brake disc. Refer to: Brake disc rear, checking Brake Disc Rear, Checking.
