Checking Pressure Control Valve

Checking pressure control valve

Checking pressure control valve
The pressure control valve is located in Differential electronic module (DEM). It controls the pressure to the clutch.
If symptom like the vehicle's wheels lose traction and/or the vehicle skipping ahead when cornering, the problem may be the pressure control valve. In case of valve failure, the power transmission cannot be controlled in a correct way. This may mean that the difference, needed when the vehicle turns, between the inner and the outer wheels is lost. Test-drive the vehicle in an eight to see if there are symptoms like; noise in rear axle, that the vehicle skips or that any of the wheels lose traction.
In case of failed pressure control valve, Differential electronic module (DEM) must be replaced.
