Description of parameters
Parameters, value
Note! The parameters below, which are implemented in the control module, can vary between different markets and models.
Voltage supply control module
Measurement range: 0 -25.5 V.
Normal range: approximately 13 -14.5 V when the generator (GEN) is charging.
Indicates the power supply to the Suspension Module (SUM).
Switch, voltage
Measurement range: 0 -6 V.
Normal range: 0.5 -4.7 V.
The control module reads off the voltage on the signal cable from the switch to determine which driving mode has been chosen.
Damper solenoids, resistance
Measurement range: 0 - 25.5 ohms.
Normal range: approximately 5 ohms.
The control module reads off the resistance of the damper solenoid using voltage and current.
Damper solenoids, voltage
Measurement range: 0-25.1 V
The control module regulates damping by controlling the solenoids with a 2 kHz PWM-signal.
The signal levels are 0 and 12 V. The voltage average can be read off via the control module.
The control module measures the voltage on the output, i.e. the solenoid's "high side".
Damper solenoids, current
Measurement range: 0 - 2.55 A
Normal range: 0.3 - 1.6 A
The control module regulates damping by controlling the solenoids with a 2 kHz PWM-signal.
The signal levels are 0 and 12 V. The current through the solenoids can be read off via the control module.
The control module measures the current on the return cable, i.e. the solenoid's "low side".
Damper solenoids, controlling
Measurement range: 0-100%
The control module regulates damping by controlling the solenoids with a 2 kHz PWM-signal.
The signal levels are 0 and 12 V. The degree of control, the pulse factor, for the PWM signal to the solenoids can be read off via the control module.
Height sensor, suspension
Measurement range: 0 -6 V.
Normal range: With car body in rest mode approximately 2.5 V
The control module receives information about the vertical position of the wheels from the height sensors that are connected to the suspension via a link.
The value from the sensors varies between 0.5 and 4.5 V depending on the height position of car body above the ground at each wheel.
The signal's voltage from the sensors on the left-hand side drops when the springs are loaded/compressed.
The signal's voltage from the height sensors on the right-hand side increases when the springs are loaded/compressed.
Acceleration sensor body
Measurement range: 0 -6 V.
Normal range: stationary car body approximately 2 V.
The control module receives information about the vertical acceleration motion of the car body from three acceleration sensors.
The sensors are located in the corners of the car body, two at the front and one at the rear.
The signal's voltage varies between 0 and 5 V depending on the vertical acceleration of the car body.
If a acceleration sensor has no power, the signal to the control module is approximately 2.36 V. No diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for this.
Voltage feed sensor, output 1 and 2
Measurement range: 0 -6.4 V.
Normal range: approximately 5 V.
The control module powers the system sensor via two voltage supply voltage outputs. Output 1 powers all three acceleration sensors and the height sensors on the right-hand side (rear and front). Output 2 powers the height sensors on the left-hand side.
