DESCRIPTION:
The customer may complain about the vehicle lighting operation after connecting a trailer equipped with Light Emitting Diode (LED) lamps.
The vehicle trailer module (TRM) is designed to operate with incandescent trailer bulb systems only.
Some trailers are using light emitting diodes (LED) instead of incandescent bulbs. This can cause disturbances depending on trailer.
The following issues are those most likely to be identified by the customer:
- The LED lamps on the trailer will pulse when the vehicle is being driven with the trailer/caravan attached
- The rear park assist sensors are not disabled, and a constant tone is heard.
- The park assist camera's distance indicators are not turned off.
- Rear fog light is not turned off.
PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
A new TRM is being developed and will be released 2nd quarter of 2012.
REPORTING:
No more reports are needed
SERVICE:
Please do not replace the TRM due to these symptoms.
