DESCRIPTION:

Some customers may report that the audible lock confirmation is inoperative and that the menu item under lock settings does not contain the check box for Audible lock confirmation.

Due to a lost CEM setting, the function is turned off after a few hundred drive cycles and 1CM menu item for "audible lock confirmation" is not visible in the 1CM menu under My Car/Car settings/lock settings.

BACKGROUND:

All Sensus vehicles produced from SOP (start of production) until structure week 2011w22 have second press audible confirmation, with mislock feedback (VDN 2F05). Due to a faulty SW setting , the function will not be operative and the menu item as described above will be missing.

Vehicles produced from 2011w22 have first press audible confirmation (VDN 2F03) and should NOT experience these symptoms.

Note:
the VDN is visible after a VIDA readout under vehicle details

2F05 functionality:

Once locked with remote or passive lock (button on door handle) a second press will sound a single chirp. If one of the doors, trunk, or hood is in "open" status, (i.e. mislock) a second press will sound a double chirp. No menu item for enabling/disabling audible lock confirmation is NOT visible under My Car/Car settings/lock settings

2F03 functionality:
Chirp will sound at lock command on remote or passive lock
No chirp if mislock (door trunk or hood is in "open" status)
Menu item for audible lock confirmation is visible under My Car/Car settings/lock settings.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:
Changed to 2F03 from structure week 2011w22. New CEM and ICM sw to get the "audible lock confirmation" visible in the ICM menu

For cars produced before 2011w22 Download SP 31343565

This SP recipe contains:
- CEM SW to fix restore the chirp
- Changes VDN to 2F03 "first press audible confirmation"
- ICM SW to restore the menu item
- IAM SW will also be loaded due to dependency

Therefore, if vehicle is not at the 2011w25 infotainment SW status, a large package will be delivered and USB will be required.

If vehicle has the latest SW, a small file will be delivered (apx 2 minute download time)
