Temperature Control
Information and verification, temperature control
Symptom and function description
The climate control unit cools or heats as well as dehumidifies the air in the passenger compartment.
There is a display on top of the air conditioning (A/C) panel. The made climate settings are seen there.
The temperature selected corresponds to the physical experience with reference to the air speed, humidity, exposure to sun etc. which affect the interior and exterior of the vehicle.
For the air conditioning to work satisfactorily, the side windows and sun roof (if applicable) must be closed.
Location of the sensors
- The sun sensor is on top of the dashboard.
- The temperature sensor for the passenger compartment is behind the air conditioning (A/C) panel.
- The outdoor temperature sensor is on the external door mirror.
- The humidity sensor is in the interior rear view mirror.
Hint: Do not cover or block the sensors with cloth or other objects
Acceleration
At full acceleration, the air conditioning (A/C) system switches off temporarily. You may feel a temporary temperature rise.
