Compressor HVAC: Service and Repair

Removal

Drain the refrigerant from the AC system. Refer to: Refrigerant, draining Refrigerant, Draining











Remove the following items:
- battery Refer to: Battery Removal and Replacement
- air filter housing. Refer to: Air cleaner housing, B6304T4 Service and Repair





Torque: M8, 24 Nm





Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Torque: M8, 24 Nm










Torque: M8, 24 Nm

Torque: M10, 50 Nm





Torque: M5, 5 Nm

Torque: M6, 10 Nm

Torque: M8, 24 Nm

Installation

Change and lubricate the O-rings with compressor oil.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Vacuum-pump the AC-system. Refer to: Vacuum pumping Vacuum Pumping

Fill the AC-system with refrigerant. Refer to: Refrigerant, filling Refrigerant, Filling

Check the AC-system for leaks with tracer/UV-light. Refer to: Leak detection, tracer agent Leak Detection, Tracer Agent
Or with electronic leak detector.

Carry out a performance test on the climate control system. Refer to: Climate control system, check Climate Control System, Check
