Cylinder head











Removal

Perform depressurizing fuel system Refer to: Fuel system pressure release, B6304T4, B5254T5 Fuel System Pressure Release

Remove the following items:
- exhaust manifold Refer to: Exhaust manifold, B6304T4 Service and Repair
- the intake manifold Refer to: Induction pipe, B6304T4, TF-80SC AWD Service and Repair
- the valve cover Refer to: Valve cover, B6304T4 Service and Repair
- fuel injector Refer to: Fuel injector, B6304T4 Service and Repair





Note! Note the position of each component before removal.

Use: Suction cup.
Use: Magnet.





Caution! Take extra care not to damage the mating faces.

Installation

Caution! Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Caution! Make sure that no fluids are present in the cylinder head bolt threaded bores.

Caution! Make sure that the oil galleries are clean and free of foreign material.

Perform valve clearance Refer to: Valve clearance, B6304T4 Adjustments




Torque: Sockets, cylinder bolt , 10 Nm

999 7300 Spanner 999 7300 Spanner





Caution! Take extra care not to damage the mating faces.

Torque: Cylinder head Stage 1: 45 Nm Stage 2: 45 Nm Stage 3: 90 degree Stage 4: 180 degree

Use: Gasket solution, 1161847





Note! Make sure that this component is installed to the noted removal position.

Install the following items:
- the valve cover Refer to: Valve cover, B6304T4 Service and Repair
- fuel injector Refer to: Fuel injector, B6304T4 Service and Repair
- the intake manifold Refer to: Induction pipe, B6304T4, TF-80SC AWD Service and Repair
- exhaust manifold Refer to: Exhaust manifold, B6304T4 Service and Repair

Perform oil filter

Perform cooling system draining, charging and bleeding Refer to: Cooling system - draining, charging and bleeding, B6304T4 Service and Repair
