Checking parking brake
Check if it is possible to release the parking brake with the parking brake control or by using the function DIAGNOSTICS/VEHICLECOMMUNICATION/PBM/Advanced/Activating and service/Release parking brake.

Is the parking brake released?

Yes - FAULT FOUND

No - Release the parking brake with the special tool

Release the parking brake with the special tool





Note! Some variation may occur in the images, however, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Remedy in the following order.
1. Ignition off.
2. Expose Park Brake Module (PBM).

3. Unplug the connector for the Park Brake Module (PBM).
4. Connect the special tool to Park Brake Module (PBM). 951 3014 EPB BOX 951 3014 EPB Box
5. Hold the button on the special tool pressed in for 2 seconds.
6. Disconnect the special tool from the connector.
7.
Note! Do not plug in the connector for the Park Brake Module (PBM).

8. Transport the vehicle to the nearest workshop for permanent action and finishing.
