Adjusting the Mirror Position

Adjusting the mirror position

Adjusting the mirror position

Setting of mirror position is controlled using buttons on the control panel on the driver's side (3/176). The driver door module (DDM) (3/126) transmits a signal directly to the mirror on the driver's side (6/62). When adjusting the mirror on the passenger side (6/63), a signal is sent via the driver door module (DDM) to the passenger door module (PDM) (3/127) on the CAN network. The passenger door module (PDM) transmits the signal to the door mirror.
On vehicles equipped with power seat with memory function for external mirrors, it is possible to interconnect mirror position with seat position. Signal about mirror position in X-axis and Y-axis is registered using two potentiometers by Driver door module (DDM) and Passenger door module (PDM), respectively. When one of the buttons on the control panel for power seat is activated, a signal is sent from Power seat module (PSM)(3/26) to Driver door module (DDM) and Passenger door module (PDM), respectively. These set the external mirrors in the position that is connected to the seat position. The mirror position can also be connected to which remote key unlocks the vehicle.
