Front Subframe: Service and Repair

Removal

Note! Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.





Note! Make sure that the road wheels are in the straight ahead position.




Torque: steering column to steering gear (steering shaft joint), 25 Nm





Warning! Be prepared to collect escaping fluid.

Follow instructions for lifting points body frame Refer to: Jacking points body Locations





Remove casing bumper front Refer to: Cover bumper front, B6304T4, B5254T5 Service and Repair

Remove control arm front Refer to: Front control arm, B6304T4, TF-80SC AWD, B5254T5, TF-80SC Front Control Arm

Remove the following items:
- Engine Rear Lower Support Insulator LH Refer to: Engine Rear Lower Support Insulator LH, B6304T4, TF-80SC AWD, B5254T5, TF-80SC Engine Rear Lower Support Insulator LH
- Engine Rear Lower Support Insulator RH Refer to: Engine Rear Lower Support Insulator RH, B6304T4, TF-80SC AWD, B5254T5, TF-80SC Engine Rear Lower Support Insulator RH





Caution! Make sure that the ball joint ball does not rotate.

Torque: Front stabilizer bar link to stabilizer bar, 70 Nm








Torque: M8, 24 Nm









Caution! Make sure that the exhaust flexible pipe is not forcibly bent.








Use: Transmission jack.





Remove the following items:
1. Torque: M8, 24 Nm

2. Torque: Subframe to chassis (Rear screws) Stage 1: 150 Nm Stage 2: 90 degree





Note! This step requires the aid of another technician.

Torque: Subframe to chassis (Front screws) Stage 1: 150 Nm Stage 2: 90 degree




Torque: Steering gear to subframe, 140 Nm

Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Fill container oil power steering

Perform power steering system, bleeding air Refer to: Power steering system, bleeding, B6304T4, B5254T5 Service and Repair
