Towbar, trailer module



























INTRODUCTION
- Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.
- Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimize the risk of something breaking during installation.
- Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.
- Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.
- In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.






Towbar, trailer module





- Turn the ignition switch to position 0.

Note! Wait at least three minutes before unplugging the connectors or removing other electrical equipment.

Applies to the S60 (11-)










- Hold in the catches, pull the side cushion inwards, forward in the car at the upper edge, so that the catches on the other side release, pull off upwards.














- Carefully pry off the covers and remove the screws.














- Clean the marked surface (a little longer than the length of the control module) on the wheel housing using isopropanol and wipe off.





- Clean the marked surfaces of the Trailer module (TRM) using Isopropanol and wipe dry.





- Take the two Velcro straps from the kit and press them together edge to edge.





- Cut off the Velcro straps in the center.





- Remove the protective backing tape from one side of the Velcro straps.





- Press the Velcro strips onto the control module in the position illustrated.





- Remove the protective tape from the Velcro fasteners.





- Press the control module onto the cleaned surface, as close to the position illustrated, with the connections pointing down and to the right.





- Connect the pre-routed connectors to the control module. These are in the connection to the rear fuse holder.










- Fit a 40 A fuse in position F11.

Applies to the V60














- Fold up the insulation mat at the front edge on the left-hand side in the cargo compartment.





- Clean the marked flat surface on the cargo compartment floor with isopropanoland wipe dry.





- Clean the marked surfaces of the Trailer module (TRM) using Isopropanol.
- Wipe dry.





- Take the two Velcro straps from the kit and press them together edge to edge.





- Cut off the Velcro straps in the center.





- Remove the protective backing tape from one side of the Velcro straps.





- Press the velcro strips onto the control module in the positions illustrated.





- Remove the protective tape from the Velcro fasteners.





- Secure the control module to the cargo compartment floor on the cleaned surface in the position shown.





- Connect the pre-routed connectors to the control module. These are in the connection to the position of the control module.





- Remove the black cover on the fuse holder.





- Fit a 40 A fuse in position F11.
