Symptom and function description
Messages and information about the climate control unit and audio system are shown in the display.
The display on the audio unit lights up in key position I or when the vehicle starts.
The display on the audio unit only allows a certain length of texts from, e.g., radio programs, CDs, and mp3-files. If the text is longer the display will only show the first part of the text.
The display is of the LCD type and is equipped with a warm up system so that it is not slow at low temperatures.
When the temperature on the display's surface is below 0 °C, warm-up comes on and when the temperature on the display's surface is greater than 20 °C,

Verification
Access to the vehicle is necessary for the following checks.
- Ignition on.
Does the display light?

Hint: If the display lights up slowly when cold, this may be due to faulty warm-up of the display.

Is the function OK?

Yes - No Fault Found

No - FAULT FOUND
