Signal source
The remote digital audio receiver (RDAR) can receive and decode a signal from either satellites, ground antennas or both. The control module selects the source whose signal is the strongest.
The following variations of detected sources are possible:
No signal = No signal detected.
SAT1 = Signal from satellite 1 detected.
SAT2 = Signal from satellite 2 detected.
ground transmission = Signal from ground antennas detected.
SAT1 & SAT2 = Signals from satellite 1 and 2 detected.
SAT1 & ground transmission = Signals from satellite 1 and ground antennas detected.
SAT2 & ground transmission = Signals from satellite 2 and ground antennas detected.
all = Signals from all sources detected.
Signal strength
The remote digital audio receiver (RDAR) can receive and decode a signal from either satellites, ground antennas or both. The control module selects the source whose signal is the strongest.
Following variants are possible:
Excellent signal = The signal strength is excellent.
Good signal = The signal strength is good.
Poor signal - The signal strength is poor.
Power supply in CEM
The remote digital audio receiver module (RDAR) checks the supply voltage relative to the voltage in the central electronic module (CEM).
Internal temperature
The remote digital audio receiver module (RDAR) registers its internal temperature.
Antenna current
Note! Only in vehicles manufactured after structure week 201136 or vehicles with new software in RDAR.
Indicates how much current the antenna draws.
Measurement range: 0 to 65535 mA.
Normal value: Min 55 mA, max 160 mA.
Power supply.
Note! Only in vehicles manufactured after structure week 201136 or vehicles with new software in RDAR.
Indicates the ECU's own power supply.
Measurement range: 0 to 25.5 V.
