Checking VICS traffic information

Self-test
Integrated Audio Module (IAM) diagnostic test for VICS-traffic information for the Japanese market can be run when a self-test of the control module has been started. A fault code is set if the self-test detects a fault. To start self-test and check fault codes belonging to the VICS traffic information, proceed as follows:
- Click on the VCT2000 symbol to start self-test of the control module.
- Go to the tab DIAGNOSTICS/DETAILS and click on Update to perform a new fault code read-out.
- Go to the tab DIAGNOSTICS/TROUBLESHOOT and check if fault codes belonging to the VICS traffic information have been set.
- Fault-trace according to diagnostic trouble code (DTC) instructions.
