DESCRIPTION:

During driving, the infotainment sound may suddenly disappear and the infotainment button functions may cease to function at the same time as the 1CM display is "frozen". No DTC's set. The climate button functions will still work as designed.

PRODUCT MODIFICATION:

*One root cause to this symptom has been found. Development of an improved 1CM SW is ongoing. If development and testing of this 1CM SW goes well, it is scheduled to be released week 20, 2012.

VEHICLE REPORT:

Yes, please report to your local technical helpdesk if this symptom occurs 15 minutes after start-up or more.

SERVICE:

To temporary get the Infotainment functions back, turn the ignition off and lock the car for 1 minute, before restarting the system. Do not replace any components due to this symptom.
